LG stands for “Lucky Goldstar” but now company has changed it into “Life's Good”. LG is a South Korean multinational company. LG has five divisions and its products include: Home Appliances, Energy Solution, Mobile Communications, Home Entertainment and Air Conditioning. Company's headquarter is in Yeouido-dong, Seoul which is situated in South Korea. Company was founded in 1958 as Goldstar. Abbreviation of LG was originated from two Korean companies Lucky and Goldstar which was later become one company. Household products were sold under the brand name of Lucky while electronic products under the brand name Gold. Later after the merger of these two companies name has changed into LG. Bon-joon Koo is the Vice Chairman and CEO of the company. LG ranked world's second largest TV manufacturer after Samsung and ranked world's 5th largest mobile phone manufacturer company. Apart from electronics and telecom fields LG has chemical companies also. Chemical sell and manufacture the products including cosmetics, industrial textiles, rechargeable batteries and toner products, polycarbonate, medicines, and surface decorative materials. It also operates some other companies also including Coca-Cola Korea Bottling Company, real estate, offers management consulting and handles professional sports clubs.
