Design

TeXet is a UK based mobile manufacturing company which has introduced the X8, a smartphone with dual SIM capabilities. The handset comes in a pack with a charger, battery, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. It is available in two shades: Black and White. Let's take a look at its specifications.

Design and Display

The X8 has an extremely stylish and edgy design that makes it stand out from the crowd. The handset measures 143mm in height, 73mm in width and 9.8mm in thickness. It weighs around 166 grams. The phone has a screen size of 5.0-inches which provides a resolution of 960x540 pixels. It uses IPS technology for brighter viewing angles.

Hardware and Software

The TeXet X8 is powered by a super fast Octa-core 1.7 GHz processor accompanied by a MediaTek MT6592 chip-set and Mali-450 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and an internal memory of 8 GB which can be extended further with the use of a micro SD card. It runs on the Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM device supports 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100 MHz) network frequencies. It comes with SMS, MMS and email facilities for messaging and emailing purposes.

Camera

The TeXet X8 boasts an 8 MP rear camera which provides a photo resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. It is featured with an auto-focus, digital zoom and LED flash for low conditions. The VGA front-facing camera of phone allows the users to take 640x480 resolution selfies along with video calling facility.

There are stacks of connectivity options available for the device which includes GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB and hands-free. It also supports GPS and A-GPS for improved navigation. The X8 is energized by a 1800 mAh battery which assures you a talk-time up to 5 hours and stand-by time up to 320 hours.
