Samsung started as a small trading company in 1938, an idea of a humble Lee Byung-chull. The company was named Samsung Sanghoe and dealt with groceries and produced noodles. As the business prospered, Lee moved it from Daegu to Seoul. The business was however hugely affected by the World War II such that Lee change business line and started running a wool mill. Lee stressed on diversifying the business and in 1948, he jointly invested into the Samsung trading company with Cho Hong-dai, but later parted ways due to their differences in the management. Lee maintained the name Samsung Group and in the 1960s, he entered into electronics industry and manufactured its first product, a black and white television set. In1982, the company came up with their first ever PC. It is these slow but steady advancements that have seen the company produce quality products including the Samsung Star Duos B7722, a classy smartphone that reflects the company’s dominance in the Mobile phone industry.
