The Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos C3312 has a candy bar style design with a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen. The curvy design of Champ Deluxe gives it a very stylish look. Its plastic body is lightweight and qualifies for an overall good build quality.
Samsung has put a 2.0 version of TouchWiz as the user interface of the device. This allows for simple interaction with the device for navigating through its features.
The phonebook can store up to 1000 entries and allow you to add a photo to your contact as well. This will enable their picture to pop up when they call you. In addition, the C3312 will store up to 30 of your dialled, received, and missed calls.
Threaded view text messages will give you a chat-style feel to your conversations and multimedia capability will allow you to send/receive pictures. You can also access your work and personal emails right on the device to help save you time when you are away from a computer.
There is a simple gallery for viewing your photos. A video player will allow you to playback MP4, WMV, and H.264 format videos. The resolution on the C3312 is low, so don't expect an exceptional viewing experience.
Music playback and sound quality are very nice. You can listen to MP3, WAV, and eAAC files. Whether it is via the loudspeaker or headphones, the sound quality will be good. An FM player will allow you access local stations as well.
The 1.3MP camera will be able to pull off a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. Image quality is going to be what you would expect from a device in this category. You shouldn't carry high expectations.
There is the ability to take video as well, though with the low resolution, you aren't going to be high quality recordings.
Dual SIM Standby will allow you to be on two GSM 2G networks. It is a quad band device capable of being on 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz. Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 give you ways to transfer your files to other devices. There is no Wi-fi support so you will have to deal with 2G speeds for internet browsing.
You get some very basic tools on the C3312 that include calendar, voice memo, and an organizer.
A WAP 2.0 browser will allow you access to the wide world of the web. There is also SNS integration with Facebook and Twitter to keep you updated on your social news.
GPS is not an available feature on the C3312.
Enabled with a document view, you can read your documents right on the screen.
Pricing for the C3312 starts at Rs. 3890 (approx., may vary), making it very affordable. At this price range, the C3312 is a decent performer. It has got some solid features such as the audio/call quality and battery life. It is definitely worth a look for users wanting a good device at a low price.
