Karbonn K616 got released in July, 2011 in India. It is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM ) phone, with Dual stand-by support. The box contents includes a handset, battery, charger, earphone, USB cable, user manual and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The phone is designed, using a bar format. It has a height of 116 mm, a width of 61 mm and a thickness of 12 mm as its dimensions with a weight of 135 grams. The front features a 3.5 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen, that provide a resolution of 320x480 pixels.

User Interface and Comfort to Use

User can store 2000 contacts, 500 SMS and 100 MMS on the phone. The storage can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSD slot. The phone operates on the Proprietary Operating System. It also avails Accelerometer and Proximity sensors that help in effective operations.

Camera and Image Quality

The phone has a rear camera of 3.2 MP with Zoom facility, that provides a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels.

Entertainment

The phone is good to use for entertainment purposes as it features music player, image viewer, voice recorder and video player. User can also tune to FM radio or can play games. Various ringtones have been availed with the phone. Plus availability of loudspeaker, further enhances its performance.

Connectivity Options and Battery Life

The device comes with connectivity options for GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and Handsfree. It comes equipped with a Li-ion battery of 1150 mAh.

With this phone, user can download wallpaper, ringtones, games and screen savers. It has features to ease the user like K-Zone, CLID with photo, call conference, mobile tracker, organizer, PC sync, calculator, alarm clock, stop watch, world times, speed dialing and currency convertor.

Verdict

Karbonn K1616 is suitable for meeting the basic requirements. However, the phone has issues with the quality of its features. From the reviews, it seems like that usersare not satisfactory.
