Blackberry Curve 9220 smartphone is the advanced version of its predecessor 'BlackBerry Curve 8520'. It has better features and good built quality. It supports a wireless LAN card but does not support 3G network.
Blackberry Curve 9220 has a compact four row Qwerty keyboard and an optical trackball for navigation. The device has a height of 109 mm, a width of 60 mm and a thickness of 12.7 mm as its dimensions. It weighs 102 grams. The front features a 2.4 inches capacitive and touchscreen with HD resolution of 320x240 pixels, 164 ppi pixel density and a scratch proof glass protection.
Curve 9220 operates on the latest Blackberry v7.1 Operating System. It comes with 512 MB of RAM. On the storage part, it has an internal memory of 512 MB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD slot. The device also avails Accelerometer, Proximity and Compass sensors that help in effective operations.
The phone has a rear camera of 2 MP that provide a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The camera comes with Zoom and LED Flash features.
The device comes with connectivity options for GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and Handsfree. It comes equipped with a Li-ion battery of 1,450 mAh.

Blackberry Curve 9220 is the thinnest QWERTY phone at an affordable range. Overall its built and design is good. But a little more of RAM in the phone and availability of front camera and 3G could have done much better.
