ASUS ZenFone 4 is one of the latest low-end smartphone by Asus which was unveiled in January, 2014 at the CES event along with two others under the new ZenFone range.It comes in a box with a charger, a data cable, a headset, an user guide and a battery.
ASUS ZenFone 4 has a 4.0-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, TFT LCD touchscreen display with a WVGA resolution of 480x800 pixels, 16M color depth and 233ppi pixel density. It has a height of 124.4mm, a width of 61.4mm and a thickness between 11.5mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 115gms. It is featured with some sensors such as accelerometer, light, proximity and compass sensor.
It works on Android v4.3, Jelly Bean OS(upgradable to v4.4.2 KitKat) operating system and is powered by a new ZenUI, dual-core 1.2GHz Saltwell processor with quad-thread hyper-threading technology coupled with 1GB RAM, Intel Atom Z2520 chipset and PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU.
ASUS ZenFone 4 has also got a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, digital zoom, auto focus, geo-tagging and video recording. It also has a 0.3MP front VGA camera for video calling. It got an internal memory of 4/8GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card.
For connectivity, it has a GPRS and EDGE, a v2.0 micro USB port, a v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP and EDR, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot and Wi-Fi direct and 3G speeds of HSDPA 42.2Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps. It runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz) and 3G(HSPDA 850/900/1900/2100MHz) network frequencies. The device is energized by Li-Po 1200 mAh battery that promises the talk-time of upto 10 hours and upto 192 hours of stand-by time on 2G network.
The phone has several media features like 3.5mm audio jack, loudspeaker, HTML browser, Java via MIDP emulator, organizer, video and audio player with a lot of supported formats, document viewer, photo viewer/editor, voice memo/dial, turn-by-turn navigation, tethering, computer and OTA sync and many more to indulge yourself. For messaging, it includes SMS, MMS, E-mail, Push mail, IM and integrated social networking sites along with predictive text input.
It is available in five beautiful shades which includes Pearl White, Sky Blue, Charcoal Black, Solar Yellow and Cherry Red at a price tag of INR 5,700.
