ZTE has just announced the release of its Windows smartphone, the ZTE Orbit. It is only the second phone that will carry the Windows Tango operating system. Orbit is designed to be a low end Windows phone for the budget conscious. With a bright and vivid 3.7 inch WVGA display screen, moving Live Tiles around is easy and fun. ZTE also claims that its phone will be able to support NFC though there is no word about it from Windows. When it comes to technical specifications, the Orbit runs on a power packed 1 GHz Qualcomm processor and a 256 MB RAM.
An internal memory of 4 GB can be easily supported. A 5 MP camera at the rear, with auto focus and LED flash, takes great quality photos and videos. The Orbit has a simple yet sophisticated design with round corners and a firm grip at the back. Looking at it will not tell you that it is low-end entry level phone. It has everything that a basic Windows Phone should have. The ZTE Orbit is a complete package that is expected to be available by June in a sleek black color with a metallic rim about the sides.
