ZTE is a Chinese multinational telecommunications based in Shenzhen, China. The company has announced the ZTE N790 in July, 2013. The box contents include a handset, charger, battery, USB cable, earphone and user manual. The specifications of this phone are explained below.

Design and Display

The ZTE N790 is a bar shaped device that looks simple and savvy. It measures 114.0mm in height, 61.5mm in width and 11.0mm in thickness and weighs around 125grams. The phone has a HVGA LCD touchscreen of 3.5-inches with 320x480 pixels resolution and the ability to display 16 M colors. It also has four soft touch keys that responds quickly to the inputs.

Hardware and Software

ZTE N790 is powered by a 1 GHz processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7625A chip-set. The smartphone comes with a 256 MB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD card. It runs on the Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM device operates on GSM 900/1800MHz and CDMA 2000MHz frequencies. The N790 has the capacity to store an unlimited number of contacts to its phonebook memory. The messaging and emailing facilities available for the device are SMS, MMS, IM and email.

Camera

The ZTE N790 has a 3.2 MP rear camera which is featured with an LED flash, digital zoom, auto-focus and provides an image resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. There is no front-facing camera available for this phone.

Multimedia

The device has a music player that supports the MP3, AAC, WAV like audio formats. The FM radio gives you better and uninterrupted signals. It also features a video player and recorder for the entertainment of the users. There are number of polyphonic and MP3 ring-tones available for the device.

The connectivity options available for the N790 are GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, micro USB and hands-free connectivity. It is energized by a Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
