Overview

An Android Mid-Range Challeneger With Amazing Features

ZTE Axon is an Android challenger that balances specifications and price. The smartphone was announced in July, 2015 with bar shaped format. Its specifications sheet is filled with hits - the Snapdragon 810 chipset is a powerhouse and the audio quality is surprisingly good. It is a mid range smartphone which has competitors like 'LG G4' and 'Samsung Galaxy S6'. The main difference between Axon and ZTE smartphones available in United States is that their flagship handset has been designed in the USA, while the others are manufactured, designed and assembled in China. Display and Dimensions

It supports a sharp and crisp 5.5 inch CGS TFT LCD 2.5D display which gives an experience of phablet. The screen resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, which provides deep color variations and wide viewing angles. For the protection of the display, it has 'Corning Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass' which has been used to save the screen from fingerprints and scratches. It is 154 mm in height, 75 mm in width and 9.3 mm in thickness. It carries a weight of 175 grams so due to its heavy weight it is little bit difficult to carry and hold. Its design is quite attractive and can easily attract the attention of any person.

Processor and Operating System

It is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor which is paired with Adreno 430 GPU. The multi-tasking needs are fulfilled by 3 GB RAM which is really amazing at such a price point. It runs Android v5.0.2 (Lollipop) OS with MiFavor 3.2.

Camera and Storage

The smartphone is embedded with new technology of dual shooters (13 MP and 2 MP), where one clicks sharp pictures and another works on image stabilization. The back is equipped with dual LED flash and the front camera has an 8 MP wide angle lens to make selfies more beautiful and special. The video resolution of primary camera is 2160p @ 30fps while the other shooter offered the video resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. It comes with a non-expandable memory with 32 GB of on-board storage.

Battery and connectivity

The ZTE Axon is packed with a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery with quick charge support to juice it up to 100% in just 1 hour. It is a dual SIM smartphone which works on 2G, 3G and 4G networks. Under the hood, it has several other connectivity options such as GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi.
