ZTE Corporation is a Chinese multinational company that deals with telecommunication equipments and network solutions. It is among the top ten largest smartphone manufacturers in the world. ZTE A136 is a non touchscreen basic featured phone that was released in the year 2007 by ZTE.

ZTE A136 has a classic bar format which is easy to use and carry. Its front panel has a small screen, a square shaped D-pad having two keys at its left and right side and a black colored alphanumeric keypad below it. Its dimension figures includes a height of 106.4 mm, width of 45.6 mm, thickness of 12.6 mm along with a weight of 61.9 grams. It has a 1.5 inches monochrome display with a resolution of 128x128 pixels.

It is a mini SIM phone that operates on 2G GSM 900 / 1800 MHz network frequencies. To convey messages to others, user can use its SMS feature along with the dictionary option to type accurately. For calling, it features call hold, call forwarding and conference call options. It can store 300 entries in its phonebook which is pretty good. To be a more useful object, the phone avails a calculator, watch, alarm clock and calender. User can set the ringtone for the phone by choosing from its 16 inbuilt polyphonic ringtones or can set the phone to vibration mode if in a meeting. User can also play games in his leisure time. ZTE A136 packs a standard Li-ion battery of 670 mAh which claims a max standby time of up to150 hours and a max talktime of up to 4 hours.
