Dedicated Mid Range Android Based Smartphone

XOLO Q1200 is a dedicated mid range device launched by Lava mobiles in May 2014. It comes with a rich HD display, brilliant camera and powerful configuration.

Display and Dimensions

The phone poses a 5.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen along with a display resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The wide screen ensures a clearer and richer view to its users. You can also experience real life clarity with a 294ppi pixel density and 16M color depth. The dimension of the phone is measured as 144.8 (length), 71.4mm (width) and 6.9mm (thickness). As per its dimensions, the phone is quite slim which will easily fit into your palm.

Processor and OS

Under the hood, it packs a quad-core processor that clocked at 1.3GHz speed along with MediaTek MT6582 chipset, Mali-400MP2 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device operates on the Android 4.2.2 jelly Bean operating system which can be upgradable to the latest 4.4.2 KitKat OS. It lets the users to get speedy performance and avails fastest mode of downloading applications.

Camera

You can save your precious moments with a single click and instantly share it with your loved ones by the wonderful auto-focus 8MP camera at the back panel. It provides a picture resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. You can also record quality videos of 1080p at 30fps by using some additional features like face detection, Geo-tagging, panorama, touch focus and LED flash. The front of the phone is also comprised of 2MP camera for the selfies and video calling.

Storage

For the storage of data, Q1200 comes loaded with an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB through microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

For the data connections, the phone relies on 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS and EDGE. It also has Bluetooth to assist wireless data sharing and an USB port for PC connections. To draw a good back-up, the phone is loaded with Li-PO 2000mAh battery under the hood. It delivers stand-by time of up to 418 hours and 385 hours on 2G and 3G network respectively. While the 2G talk time it gives is 15 hours and up to 9 hours on 3G network.

Multimedia

The phone is able to fulfill entertainment requirements through FM Radio, audio player (supporting formats like MP4, H.264 and H.263 player) and games. You can use messaging facilities like predictive text input features that makes typing easy and fast. The phone has also come pre-loaded with apps like Google search, Gmail, YouTube and Google talk. Other features of the phone include calendar, maps, organizer, image / video editor and Java MIDP emulator. The alert types supported by the phone are MP3, ringtones and vibration mode.

Shades and Price

The Xolo Q1200 comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 approximately, while it is available in the online stores at a price range from Rs.12,999 to 13,750. There are two Black and White color options to choose from.
