XOLO Play 8X-1100 is a KitKat based dual SIM smartphone announced in August, 2014. This handset is ideal for those who are fond of gaming or photography. The main competitors of this phone in the market are Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note and Gionee Elife E7. Design and Display

The XOLO Play 8X-1100 possess 5-inch of full HD IPS display that bears a resolution of 1280x720 pixels along with a pixel density of 441ppi. In order to protect the screen from fingerprints and scratches, the company has covered it from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has got a height of 141.5mm, a width of 70.8mm and a thickness of 8.7mm.

Camera and Storage

The XOLO smartphone has a 13MP primary camera with Sony Exmor RS Sensor. It also features a 5MP secondary camera with BSI sensor that is mainly used for selfies or self-portraits. The rear camera offers a picture resolution of 4128X3096 pixels whereas front facing camera flaunts a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels. The handset has internal storage of 16GB  which is further expandable up to 32GB.

Processor and Operating System

The dual SIM smartphone is incorporated with the Octa-core processor of 1.7 GHz with Mali 450 700 MHz of GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and MediaTek MT6592 chipset. It is coupled with a RAM of 2GB for decent multitasking. The device runs on Android v4.4 KitKat operating system.

Connectivity and Battery

Talking about internet and connectivity, it comes loaded with various options such as 3G, 3.5mm jack/port, radio, music player, image viewer, video player, voice recording, video recording and games. It carries a Li-Po 2100 mAh battery that promises a talktime of upto 22 hours on 2G and up to 11.5 hours on 3G network. On the other side, it offers a stand-by time of upto 463 hours on 2G as well as 443 hours on 3G network.

Multimedia

The bar shaped smartphone comes equipped with entertaining features such as A-GPS, bluetooth, GPS, USB, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and handsfree connectivity. SMS, MMS, Email and IM are the messaging options offered by the XOLO in order to contact with friends, relatives and colleagues.
