Design

Videocon is a large diversified Indian company founded in 1979 by Venugopal Dhoot. Its headquarters are located in Gurgaon, Haryana, India and some plants are located in Mainland China, Italy, Mexico and Poland. The company has released the VPhone Ritz, a dual SIM device in March, 2014. The specifications of the phone are discussed below.

Design and Display

The VPhone Ritz is a bar shaped device which is easy to use and handle. The phone comes with a QVGA screen which provides a resolution of 320x240 pixels along with an alphanumeric keypad present below it. The physical keys are well placed on board which are quite responsive to the input signals./p>

Memory

The users can store a long list of 500 contacts in the phonebook memory along with 100 SMS. The phone also features a memory card slot which can accommodate up to 16 GB micro SD card. In this way, one can store a huge amount of data in the phone's external memory.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby operates on GSM 900/1800 MHz network frequencies. The phone is also featured with SMS and MMS services which keeps you stay connected with your near and dear ones. It also has a T9 dictionary which facilitates typing.

Camera

The VPhone Ritz comes equipped with a primary camera of 1.3 MP which provides a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels and is featured with a digital zoom. Unfortunately, it does not have any front-facing camera for video calling purposes.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the device includes GPRS, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and hands-free connectivity. The VPhone Ritz is powered by a Li-Ion 900 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.

Shades and Price

The VPhone Ritz is available in three color options: Black, White and Red. The approximate price for this basic feature phone is Rs.1,600 which may vary.
