Let's have a brief details of its specification below:
The tablet comes with a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen at front and a very impressive profile to go with it. It provides a screen resolution of 1024x600 pixels. It has slight curves on the edges and its Gray colored back with Black outlining over display go very well with the looks. Measurement wise, it has a height of 188.1 mm, width of 108.2 mm along with a thickness of 10.3 mm. Its textured back offers firm grip while holding and it requires careful handling because of its size and weight.
Running the device is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and it packs 1.3GHz Dual core processor under the hood which is coupled with 512 MB RAM. The RAM unit is quite low to handle multiple applications efficiently. But it is worth enough according to the price.
The cameras offered in this tablet are ordinary but they do support some features like digital zoom and Geo-tagging. It packs 2 MP camera on back frame and 0.3 MP camera on front. The highest resolution one can set for the main camera is 1600x1200 pixels. While the front camera is adequate for the video calls and acceptable front shots. For the storage purpose, it comes loaded with an internal memory of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card.
The connectivity attributes of the phone includes Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It works on both 2G and 3G network frequencies which means one can enjoy faster internet experience. The other applications like V-secure, Opera Mini, V-store and V-safe also comes pre-loaded in the tablet. While, powering the device for day long working is a Li-Po 3000mAh battery.
The Videocon VA81M comes in only Gray color and is priced at INR 5,499 approximately. While, those looking for an alternative could consider the Micromax Unite 2 A106, Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3, Karbonn Titanium X and Sony Xperia E1 which is slightly more expensive but comes with better specification too.
