Videocon V1635 is a simple phone for people who have very basic mobile phone needs.

Videocon V1635 Design and Build Quality

The phone has a standard 2.4-inch display and is bar shaped. It has a slightly curved and pinched look which makes it size appear bigger than it actually is. The phones dimensions are 51x115.5x16.5 mm. the phone is small and you will not even feel the weight of it in your hand. The battery of the phone will last you for 6 hours with calling and media playback.

User Interface and Comfort to Use Videocon V1635

The screen has a simple QVGA display. The colours appear to be over-saturated. The screen is small and therefore reading your email and long messages can take some work. If you set the font size to high then even the 10-digit phone number will take up two lines to display. There are not many features on the phone and the navigation key in the centre can be used to access the menu functions. The phone is easy to use and does not slip from the grip. The keyboard keys are a little too closely placed for full typing ease. The phone’s internal memory can be expanded up to 4GB.

Telephony and Phonebook

The phone supports dual SIM with 2G operations. The call quality is quite decent but we wish the loudspeaker was clearer. The phonebook is very basic with option to add multiple numbers. You can store up to 2000 contact numbers.

Messaging and Emails

SMS and MMS features are available on the phone. You can store up to 1000 messages in the inbox.

Gallery, Photo Viewer and Video Player

There is nothing much to say about the gallery of the phone. It is very basic. The photos can be seen in the order they were taken. The video player plays back 3GP and MP4 formats. The video playback is not very clear and the screen resolution limits the quality of the playback.

Videocon V1635 Music Player and FM Radio

The phone has a FM Radio with recording feature. You can listen to your favourite songs and record them too. You will need the external memory card to save the media on the phone.

Videocon V1635 Camera and Image Quality

The camera is 2MP without flash. There are no features on the camera and the photos turn out to be very basic that are good only for viewing on the mobile.

Video Camera and Video Quality

The video camera can record 3GP videos. The videos recorded in daylight are very basic and you cannot record decent videos in low light.

Bluetooth, GPRS, and USB are the connectivity options available on the phone. The connectivity is slow but still useful if you need to download something.
