Well Designed Budget Friendly Smartphone

Videocon has launched many budget friendly smartphones for the Indian market. A29 is one of the well designed smartphone of 'A' series. It has a dual SIM compatibility with dual GSM. The main attraction of the phone is its leather-like back which gives you very gentle feel when you hold it in your hand. It was released in April, 2014.

Processor and OS

Videocon A29 runs on an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system to give you a smooth app performance. But the latest version of OS is also out in the market. So if it works on updated version, it would provide improved performance. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor which is coupled with a 512MB RAM to perform its tasks.

Display and Dimensions

The phone features a WVGA capacitive touch screen with a display resolution of 480x800 pixels. Like the other classy mobiles, it also features three soft keys at the bottom. The length of the phone is measured as 125mm with the width and height as 63mm and 11.4mm respectively. The device is also built with a G sensor, light sensor and proximity sensor. On the back panel, the company has wrapped a leather-like coating to make it comfortable to hold.

Camera and Memory

On the camera front, it comes equipped with a standard 3.2 MP camera with flash at the back to click the acceptable pictures. The camera pixel is not bad at all, but not the best you can get on the phones. On the front, it offers a 0.3 MP camera. The phone supports a 4GB internal memory which allow you to save unlimited contacts and SMS. While, you can also expand the storage level to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone supports a 3G band network, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE for the user connectivity. It also supports Bluetooth and USB port for the data sharing and PC connections. While, it helps you navigate directions with GPS -AGPS support. Applications like Opera Mini and YouTube has also come pre-loaded in the phone. The phone relies on Li-Ion 1400 mAh for the day long back-up.

Entertainment

The phone packs an FM radio, music player with loudspeaker and games to keep you entertain and busy in the ideal time. It supports ringtone alert type and also avails QWERTY keypad for texting. Messaging facilities of the phone include SMS, MMS and Email. it does not support Push Email.
