Overview

Windows Based Tablet By Toshiba

Toshiba is a Japanese multinational company that was founded in 1938 after the merger of two huge companies. Now it operates a global network of 740 companies dealing with the manufacturing and marketing of electrical and electronic products. Its Toshiba Dynabook Tab S50/26 is the new invention under the Dynabook Tab line of tablets that has been announced and is expected to hit the shelves of Japanese market soon.

Design and Display

The front is adorned with a large 10.1 inches capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800x1280 pixels. Talking about its looks, it has the typical tablet format with a front consisting of all screen, a camera lens and no hardware buttons. A wide bezel around the screen adds to the beauty of the product. The rear view gives a classy look with the plain surface and only a camera is affixed on the top.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the tablet has a competent hardware and software specifications. It houses a 1.33 GHz Intel atom Z3735F processor accompanied with a 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 64 GB of on-board storage along with a microSD slot. The 32 bit version of Windows 8.1 Operating System compliments the processor.

Camera

The tablet has assembled both the camera's- a 5 MP rear shooter with 2560x1920 pixel resolution and a 1.2 MP front facing snapper which is adequate for making video calls.

Entertainment

On the entertainment part, the device is expected to be loaded with the basic utilities like music player, video player, image viewer, video recorder, social networking and games. The company claims that the sound quality of the device would be amazing due to the presence of Dolby Digital Plus speakers. Availability of 3.5 mm audio jack would further enhance the capabilities.

Connectivity

Being a networking device it has been loaded with the GPS, micro HDMI output port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n along with the obvious options like GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and Handsfree.

Other Features

Dynabook Tab S50/26 is a Windows enabled device so it would come with a long list of utilities. Two of them mentioned by the company are inbuilt Microsoft Office Home and Business 2013 SP1 software. It is also expected to be featured with a bluetooth keyboard, so that the user could work with the click pad or the keyboard just as we do in a notebook PC.

The price and shades have not been mentioned by the company yet.
