Swipe has launched a new tablet called as Slice in July, 2014. The tablet comes in a pack with a charger, headset, USB cable, OTG cable, user guide and warranty card. Let's take a closer at its details.
Design and Display
The tablet has a perforated body finish that not only looks appealing but even feels good to hold. It comes with a height of 189mm, width of 108mm and thickness of 10.8mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 522grams. The front of tablet is dominated by a WVGA capacitive touchscreen of 7.0-inches which has a resolution power of 800x480 pixels.
Hardware and Software
Powering the device is a Dual-core 1.3 GHz processor which is accompanied by a MediaTek MT8312 chip-set and Mali-400 GPU. It has a RAM of 512 MB and an internal storage of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The tablet runs on the Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Telephony and Messaging
This dual SIM device operates at the frequencies of GSM 900/1800 MHz network. The user can store a huge number of contacts to its phonebook memory. The tablet is featured with SMS, MMS and email for messaging.
Camera
The Swipe Slice comes with a 2 MP rear camera which has the ability to capture 1600x1200 resolution pictures. The camera features includes digital zoom, Geo-tagging and touch-focus. The VGA front-facing camera of tablet allows the users to take selfies and also enables video calling.
Connectivity and Battery
The networking and connectivity options include GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB v2.0 with OTG support and GPS with A-GPS. The tablet comes equipped with a Li-ion 3000 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
Shades and Price
The Swipe Slice is available in number of shades: Red, Blue, White, Black and Yellow. The approximate price of this tablet is Rs. 5,000 may vary.
