Sony Xperia Z1 is a Micro-SIM Candy bar Smartphone released by Sony on September 4, 2013. Sony launched this high-end mobile phone in India on 18th September, priced at INR 44990. It is also known by many other names such as Honami, C6902, C6903, C6906 and C6943. It works on the 2G frequencies of GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and 3G frequencies of HSDPA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz. It has three different 4G frequencies according to different versions. Xperia Z1 has a height of 144mm, width of 74mm and thickness of 8.5mm as its dimension and has a weight of 170gms. It is IP58 certified Dust-proof and Water-resistant body up to 1m and 30 minutes. It comes in a pack with a Battery, a Charger, a USB Cable and an Earphone.
Sony Xperia Z1 has a 5.0-inch, Triluminos display, TFT LCD Capacitive touchscreen of resolution 1080x1920 pixels, 16M Colors Display, 441ppi Pixel Density and Up to 10 fingers Multitouch with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and Shatter-proof and Scratch-resistant glass. It has a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery with a 2G and 3G Stand-by time of up to 880 hours and 850 hours respectively and with a 2G and 3G Talk-time of up to 13.50 hours and 15 hours respectively. It also has a music play time of up to 110 hours. It uses MP3, Vibration mode and WAV for alert types and also has a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm jack. It has an internal memory of 16GB and a RAM of 2GB with up to 64GB extendable microSD memory card slot. It is available in Black, White and Purple shades.
For connectivity, it has up to 107kbps GPRS; up to 296kbps EDGE; HTML5 Browser; GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS; MIDP Java emulator; NFC; v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP and ANT+; v2.0 microUSB (MHL) with On-the-go function; 3G speed of 42Mbps HSDPA and 5.8Mbps HSUPA; LTE, Cat4 4G speed of 50Mbps UL and 150Mbps DL and WLAN with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Direct, DLNA and Hotspot facility. Also, it has “v4.3, Jelly Bean” Android OS. It has a “Quad-core 2.2GHz Krait 400” Processor with “Adreno 330” GPU and “Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800” Chipset. For messaging, it has SMS with predictive text input, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM and SNS Integration. It also has a stereo FM Radio with RDS.
Sony Xperia Z1 has a 20.7MP rear camera of resolution 5248x3936 pixels with Auto-Focus, LED Flash, ½.3” Sensor size, Geo-tagging, Touch-Focus, Face Detection, Image Stabilization, HDR and Panorama Mode. It can also record a video of 1080p@30fps with HDR and Video Stabilization features. It also has a 2.0MP secondary camera of resolution 1600x1200 pixels and video quality of 1080p@30fps. The sensors of this Smartphone include Accelerometer, Gravity, Gyro, Proximity and Compass. The additional features of this phone includes a TV-out via MHL A/V Link, Active Noise Cancellation with Dedicated Mic, a MP4/H.263/H.264 Player, a MP3/eAAC+/WAV/Flac Player, Document and Photo Viewer with Editor and Voice Memo and Dial.
