Water Resistant High End Smartphone By Sony
By Rajdeep JawandaSony recently has announced its Xperia flagship a new member, the M4 Aqua. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, is a high end smartphone, as explaining from its name that it is water resistant. It will be available in the market from April 2015 and with the reputation the brand name has got, it will rock the charts.
Design & Display
Based on the same Sony platform, the new Xperia is a bar smartphone with curvy edges and a classy appeal. With a 65% screen to body ratio and a 5 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with HD resolution and 294 pixels per inch, its easy to handle and provides a great viewing experience. Scratch resistant gorilla glass provides the ease of mind even without any screen protective accessory.
Processor & Operating System
Sony provides the user with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset with an Octa Core processor (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53). Also with that is a Adreno 405 GPU. Android 5.0 ( Lollipop) is provided with the phone and the UI remains the same as the other Sony Xperia flagship phones.
Camera
The rear camera is a 13 MP auto-focus with LED flash with features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama. Each shot is a 4128x3096 pixels whereas the video is upto 1080p with 30fps. The front camera is a 5 MP 720p shooter.
Memory
It has 8 GB of storage on-board with an expandable storage capacity of 32 GB with microSD. It has 2 GB of RAM for a super smooth smartphone experience.
Connectivity
It supports a Nano SIM only. It supports 2G, 3G, 4G. Its is 4G LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 Mhz ready. It has bluetooth v4.1, USB 2.0, and 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual-Band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA.
Battery
It has a 2400 mAh Li-ionbattery which is non removable and the company claims a battery life of 2 days with mixed usage.
Colors & Price
It is available in three shades White, Black, Coral and Silver and comes under an estimated price tag of INR 20000.
Verdict
Sony brings the best in terms of camera quality and this time the performance specifications are awesome. Providing the user with LTE brings more chances of success for this Xperia. Wireless connectivity is really good but is the USB 2.0 enough?
