Built on a candy bar style design, the Samsung Primo Duos is made out of metallic silver. This gives the device a more high quality build. A keypad on the front is responsive to your touch but due to the lack of a full QWERTY keyboard, it may be a bit of a pain to text on. There is nothing that really sticks out in terms of design on the Primo Duos.
The Primo Duos uses a proprietary Samsung user interface. Ease of use is good and you will be able to navigate through the device in minutes. It fits easily in the palm of your hands for one handed operations.
The phone book allows you to store up to 2000 of you contacts.
Both text messages and pictures can be sent and received on the Primo Duos. The alphanumeric keyboard makes it a chore to type messages. Luckily, there is T9 support so you can at least input a message faster. It is still not as easy or quick to type of message when you're using a full keyboard. There is no installed email support so you will not have any easy way to access your work and personal emails.
A standard gallery will allow you to view pictures on your Primo Duos. The video player will play MPEG4, H.263, and 3GP files. The small screen size and low resolution will equal out to a less than average video viewing experience.
To listen to your own music, you must have files in MP3, AMR, MIDI, I-Melody, QCP, AAC, or AAC+ file formats. You also have the ability to listen to FM radio stations and also record your favourite talk or music directly on the device. The audio quality is average at best, sounding better on headphones than using the speakers by far. There is no background music option, so you won't be able to do other things on the phone when you are listening to music.
With a 2MP camera, you can't expect great quality images to be produced. There is a flash that will help in low light situations. In addition, there are camera features such as single shot, continuous shot, mosaic shot, frame shot, night mode, white balance, and an image editor. Still, the image quality is nothing to write home about, so you should use an alternative when it is available.
This dual SIM is capable of connecting to a GSM 850, 900, 1800, or 1900 MHz bands. In addition, you can hop on a CDMA 800 MHz band. Bluetooth is supported up to 2.1 as well as USB connectivity via micro USB.
A Polaris web browser will enable you to navigate through the internet.
Pricing for the Primo Duos will start at Rs. 5990 (approx., may vary). For the price of a Primo Duo, you are better off finding a different handset that has better quality features.
