A Messy Merger of Fitness Band and Smartwatch

Samsung has entered its way into the new concept of smartwatches. Samsung Gear Fit is another smartwatch from the Samsung which was released on 13 May, 2014. It measures 57.40 mm in height, 23.40 mm in width and 11.95 mm in thickness and weighs just 27 grams. The device features a curved super AMOLED display of 1.84-inches that gives a resolution of 128x432 pixels. The Gear Fit has accelerometer, gyro and HR sensors. The device is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification.

Samsung Gear Fit is fueled by a 210 mAh battery which delivers a typical usage time up to 3-4 days along with low usage time up to 5 days. There is a Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity available for the device that supports SPP and GATT profiles. Other features includes pedometer, heart rate, exercise, notifications, sleep, timer, find my device, media controller, personalized fitness motivator, customizable themes and stopwatch.

Samsung Gear Fit is compatible with the devices that uses android 4.0 or later. The SMS and email are some of the messaging facilities available for the device. It comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and Gmail that allows you to stay connected with your near and dear ones. There are number of changeable bands available for Samsung Gear Fit that makes you look cool. The colors includes Red, Wild Orange, Blue, Charcoal Black, Green and Mocha Brown. Samsung Gear Fit is available at a price tag of Rs.15,450 approx.
