The popular manufacturer, Samsung has launched both the budget and high end smartphones in the Galaxy series. The Samsung Galaxy Young 2 Duos is one of the member of Galaxy lineup available at a very affordable price. It works on both 2G and 3G network and it has a dual SIM configuration.
The Galaxy Young 2 Duos looks like most of the other smartphones introduced by the company with some changes in dimensions only. It comes with a flat back and curved edges with 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen at the front which responds very beautifully to the touch gestures. The screen flaunts a 165ppi pixel density and it has a display resolution of 320x480 pixels. The small size of the phone makes it comfortable to hold.
The Young 2 Duos is built on 1GHz processor along with 512 MB RAM, together they are good enough for managing simple navigation and most basic tasks. Running the device is an Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system that let you switch between apps easily and provides more improved design.
The device brings a 3.15MP camera on the back panel that clicks at 2048x1536 pixels resolution. It comes with only geo-tagging feature and it is capable of recording 480p videos at 24fps. But it disappoints its users in the term of front camera. For the storage of data, it supports internal memory of up to 4GB which you can expand up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.
For the user connectivity, it offers GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi. It also features bluetooth to assist you in wireless sharing along with a USB port and 3.5mm jack to connect with other devices. The battery ticking inside it is a 1300 mAh unit which may seem small but is just enough for a device which has such a modest set of specifications.
Young 2 comes preloaded with some popular applications like Google Search, Gmail, Maps, Google Talk, YouTube, Picasa and calendar. It also features FM Radio and music system with music formats like MP3, MP4, FLAC player etc. The tools like photo/video editor, organizer, predictive text input, voice memo/dial, SNS integration are also come loaded in the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy young 2 Duos comes in a common Black and White color. It cost you around 6,999 approximately which is quite reasonable for the set of specifications it offer.
