Samsung Galaxy S4 is a much-awaited android phone. The phone has many features, which makes it an attractive by for all genres of consumers.
Galaxy S4 is a beautiful looking phone. However, the phone does not fit in the grip easily and careful handling is required when holding long conversations. The phone does not over heat even with long use. The battery of the phone will last you for about a day with full charge. However if you love playing games then the battery will not last you for long.
Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 comes with a super-fast Octa-Core processor, comprising of 1.6 GHz Quad, 1.2 GHz Quad processors, and a massive 2GB of RAM. The phone has enough power to play any game and app that you throw its way. There is no lag in moving between the apps or checking your email. The phone responds as soon as you touch it. The phone’s software is optimized for touch. Whether you are wearing gloves or are bare handed the touch screen will recognize your touch. The phone UI also has the capacity to adjust screen brightness and sound according to the environment. The above mentioned features make it very easy to use. The touch gestures are very easy to adapt to. The screen size is 4.99 inches, which is big enough for you to be able to see large videos comfortably without straining the eye.
Phone supports both 2G and 3G options. Call quality is good at all the times. The phonebook can store unlimited number of contacts. Contact history, voice dialling and social media integrations makes the phonebook an interesting app in itself.
SMS, MMS, Email, IM are the facilities available on the phone. Predictive text input, and Swype make it easy to type at a faster rate.
When it comes to user comfort, the phone comes with a lot of features. The file manager is intuitive and gives you the option to edit and move the files. Photo editor is easy to navigate and lots of interesting features can be applied to the images. The video player plays all major formats and you can download an equalizer from the app store to add a boost to the sound.
Audio quality of the phone is very good and can be easily matched to a good quality music player. The phone does not have an FM radio.
The phone has two cameras the rear one is 13MP and the front one is 2MP. Apart from the standard camera features, the two standout features of the cameras are letting you take pictures with sound and ability to record and shoot at the same time. You can create albums using the story album feature on the phone. Another interesting feature is the Erase feature that removes the unwanted people from the picture.
The video camera can record full HD 1080p videos. You can record from both front and back cameras simultaneously, which makes recording very interesting.
GPRS, EDGE, 3G, and Wi-Fi connectivity along with Bluetooth, NFC, and Micro USB are available on the phone.
Apart from the usual utility tools the interesting tools on the phone include Group Play: Share Music, Share Picture, Share Document, Play Games, S Translator to translate to any language, Optical Reader, Samsung Smart Scroll, Samsung Smart Pause, Air Gesture, Air View, S Travel (Trip Advisor), S Voice Drive, S Health for monitoring workouts, Samsung Link, Screen Mirroring, Samsung KNOX (B2B only), Samsung Hub, IR LED (Remote Control), MHL 2.0, and Home Sync.
Browser on the phone is fast and comes with various features such as pinch to zoom and attachment. Important apps include ChatON, Samsung WatchON, Samsung Kies, Kies Air, YouTube, Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Latitude, Google Play Store, Google Plus, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Places, Google Navigation, Google Downloads, and Voice Search.
A GPS with preloaded Google Maps comes with the phone. Navigation features such as trip adviser and voice drive make it very easy to use the GPS.
The list of distinctive features of the phone is endless but we loved the Air view and smart pause ability. If you are not doing anything, the phone will automatically lock by sensing inactivity.
The phone is priced at around INR 40000 (approx., may vary) in the Indian Market.
