The company started this series for the low-priced smartphones and the Galaxy J1 is the first smartphone launched earlier 2015 in this series. The Galaxy J1 Ace packs an impressive set of features that includes 4.3-inch screen, KitKat OS, 4 GB RAM, good camera and microSD card support. This is no doubt a successor of predecessor is J1 phone. Let's take a brief look on its specification below:
Display and Design
It comes with 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen at front that provides superior colors and bright visual experience. It supports a screen resolution of 480x800 pixels and this size of screen is sufficient for the clear viewing angles. Moreover, it fits comfortably in one's palm and one can access its screen single handedly. It responds beautifully to the multi-touch gestures. Measurement wise, it has a height of 130.1 mm, width of 67.6 mm, thickness of 9.5 mm and it weighs at 128 grams. It is bit bulky and heavy as compare to its rivals in this segment.
Processor and OS
For the fast processing of multiple tasks, it comes powered by a 1.3GHz Dual-core processor which is coupled with 512 MB RAM to handle tasks efficiently. While, the operating system version offered on this smartphone is not a latest, its an older Kitkat 4.4 version.
Camera and Memory
For the photography, company has implemented 5 MP camera on the back panel which also offers LED flash, digital zoom, face detection and geo-tagging feature. It also packs 2 MP camera at front for the selfies of acceptable quality. Storage wise, it supports 4 GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity and Battery
The connectivity attributes of the phone are GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It works on 2G and 3G network frequencies. For the backup, it depends upon 1800mAh battery which comes with Ultra Power Saving mode.
Shades and Price
The Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace has two -White and Black color options to select from. It is available at a price tag of INR 6,400 approximately.
