Samsung Galaxy Alpha is one of the slimmest smartphone in Galaxy Series introduced by Samsung in July, 2014. It is designed by using metal frame which gives you premium feel while holding. It is a perfect combination of performance and beauty. The box contents of phone includes charger, user manual, warranty card, headset and earphones.

Display and Design

The handset features a big 4.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen along with a display resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It ensures you true life clarity of pictures, videos and messages through 312ppi pixel density and 16 million color depth. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 132.4x65.5x6.7mm along with a weight of 115 grams. It comes built with Accelerometer, gyro, compass, proximity and heart rate sensors.

Processor and OS

Inside, Galaxy Alpha packs an Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system and Quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex -A15 which delivers smooth app performance and do multiple things easily. It is coupled with a 2GB RAM for sufficient amount of room for the data that require fast access.

Camera and Storage

To let you capture precious moments of your life, it comes equipped with an auto-focus 12MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. The highest resolution you can set for the pictures is 4608x2592 pixels and for the front shots 1600x1200 pixels. Other features offered with camera are digital zoom, LED flash, virtual tour, Selective focus and High Dynamic Range. To store data, it comes loaded with an internal memory of 32GB and it also allows you to store unlimited contacts. But it does not support microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

For the user connectivity, the phone has EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi that keep you connect with others. It has Bluetooth for wireless data sharing along with USB cable for the PC connectivity. To navigate direction it also facilitates you NFC. The battery ticking inside the phone is of 1860 mAh unit that delivers long hours back up.

Multimedia

For the messaging purpose, this phone offers SMS, MMS, Push Mail and IM service. It also has 3.5mm Jack which connect you with music system. But this phone lacks FM Radio. Other features of the phone includes document viewer, voice memo/dial commands, drop-box and active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.
