Built with a metallic finish, the Samsung Champ 2 C3330 has a candy bar style design. Its compact size sports a 2.4 inch touchscreen and has a solid grip. There is a physical home, call, and end button on the bottom. A volume rocker sits on the left side of the device and a dedicated camera button on the other side.
Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz Lite 2.0 is the user interface that allows easy navigation. You can customize your device using widgets to set up the four different home screens as you like. One example of a customization is you can add a picture widget to each of your favourite contacts for easier access right on a screen.
The phone book memory allows you to store up to 1000 contacts. Each contact can also be sent to other phones via the vContact feature.
TouchWiz allows you to enjoy a threaded view for text messages. Sending and receiving multimedia messages will also be no problem. Your emails can be set up to automatically sync with your device. Also, you can sign into your instant messaging friends such as Yahoo Messenger.
The basic gallery will allow you to view your pictures. There is not a native image editor on the Champ 2. Video support for MP4, H.264 files is also available. This isn't the best device to watch videos on due to the low resolution.
The music player will support MP3, WAV, eAAC files. The sound quality is surprisingly very good when playing music. An FM player will give you the ability to tune into local stations.
The image quality is the best you can get for a 2 MP camera. It is capable of a 1600x1200 pixel resolution display. Some of the new camera features available is multi-shot mode and white balance.
The video camera on the Champ 2 will perform exactly how you would expect on a device in this category. You will need to be mindful of light conditions because the quality is blurry.
This quad band is available to be connected to a 2G GSM 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz band. You have Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB 2.0 built into the Champ 2 for transfer.
Some standard utility tools are built into the Champ 2 including an organizer, document viewer, and voice memo.
There is a built in WAP 2.0 browser for web access that works OK for basic searches and websites.

At a price tag set around Rs. 3410 (approx., may vary), the Champ 2 is very affordable. For a mobile device at this price, the Champ 2 is performs better than average. It has a good battery life, call quality, and solid features. You will get more for your money with the Champ 2.
