Panasonic Corporation is a Japanese company that was founded in 1918. It is one of the largest electronic product manufacturers in the world comprising of 634 companies. Panasonic Mobile Communications focuses on providing a wide range of products being conscious of low range customers. And for this reason, it has announced its Panasonic GD31 which is an extremely reasonable and featured phone.

Design and Display

Panasonic GD31 features a compact and unique design that has been carved in a bar shape with good material. It features a black bezel running around its screen and a long multipurpose hard key beneath it. The front is dominated by 2.8 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen that provides a resolution of 240x320 pixels. Its dimension figures includes a height of 96.6 mm, width of 56.6 mm and thickness of 13 mm.

Software and Memory

It uses Proprietary Operating System and 64 MB RAM for its operations. As far as storage is concerned, it has a limited storing capacity but is expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card.

Telephony and Messaging

It is a dual SIM handset that carries the dual stand-by support. So, you can use two GSM connections at the same time. It operates on the 2G 900 / 1800 MHz frequencies and avails SMS facility.

Camera

For photography, it carries a 2 MP camera with the LED Flash and digital zoom facility. So, it helps to take decent pictures in normal as well as low light conditions.

Entertainment

Panasonic GD31 has been equipped with a music player which lets you to store and listen audio tracks of your choice. It also avails a FM radio with recording option to listen and save the audio tracks. User can enjoy watching or recording videos or can play embedded games. Plus the 3.5 mm audio jack further lets you to use any headsets with your phone.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, the handset is WAP / GPRS enabled. It also gives you the power to share files with its Bluetooth with A2DP and USB connectivity. The 1100 Li-ion battery working under its hood gives decent battery backup.

Other Features

The handset supports English and Hindi languages to ease in using the phone. There are some security features as well like mobile tracker, phone backup and data protection. Also there are some basic utilities under its organizer section like LED torch, calendar, alarm clock etc.
