OnePlus One has been officially announced and it is expected that in terms of specifications, it can easily beat the other flagship Android smartphone available in the market like Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2, Nokia Lumia 1020 and Google Nexus 5. On the back it has got a metallic body while the front is dominated by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device stocks a non-removable 3100 mAh battery for its smooth functioning. The battery lasts longer for about one day even with extensive use. The phone requires a careful deal while holding longer conversations because of its large size.
OnePlus One flaunts a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 16M colors and provides a pretty good resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. In terms of hardware, the device is powered by a fast Quad-core, 2.5GHz processor and a RAM of 3GB. The phone responds to the touch signals very well. OnePlus One has an inbuilt memory of 16/64GB which is quite attractive. There is no hard button present on the display, features only soft keys.
The smartphone has a support for 2G, 3G and 4G network. OnePlus One has a capacity to store an unlimited number of contacts. The phonebook is featured with a voice dialing, SNS integrations and contact history. The phone gives superb call quality at all the times.
There is messaging and email facility available for the device which includes SMS (threaded view), MMS, IM, Email and Push Mail. All of these enable you to send and receive data. The device also features predictive text input which helps in typing.
OnePlus One is equipped with an excellent camera of 13 MP with a dual LED flash, auto-focus, geo-tagging, touch-focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama while the front facing camera has a good 5MP count. The camera delivers pictures of good quality at all the times with a photo resolution of 4128x3096 pixels.
Games and HD videos looks very good on the display, speaking of which, the phone handled HD content, be it games or movies, effortlessly. OnePlus One comes with an impressive music player with an easy to use interface. The sound is loud and clear with the twin loudspeakers and even better with the supplied headphones. One can record 1080p videos on to the device.
The connectivity includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, micro USB and NFC. It also supports A-GPS and GLONASS for navigation. It comes pre-loaded with some of the Google apps like Google search, G mail, Google Talk, YouTube, Calendar, Maps, Document viewer, Photo viewer and editor.
The smartphone is available in two elegant colors that include Sandstone Black and Silk White.
It looks stylish and performs brilliantly. The automatic updates are the icing on the cake. Moreover, the excellent camera is another plus point. It is a tough rival of HTC, Sony and Samsung but lacks in terms of service providers and the resale value. On the other hand, brands like Samsung provide better service and the resale value is even more.
