Obi Mobile is a new name in the Indian market, which have launched few smartphones for Indian customers like Obi Crane S550, Falcon S451 and Leopard S502 etc. Now the latest entry by the company is 'Hornbill S551'. The sales package of a phone contains handset, charger, USB cable, user manual, battery and warranty card.

Display and Design

The handset packs a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which provides a display resolution of 720x1280 pixels resolution. It has a 267ppi screen with 16 Million color depth. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 156x76.8x7.9mm along with a weight of 145 grams.

Processor and OS

Hornbill S551 operates on an Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and it works on both 2G and 3G network frequencies. Under the hood, it has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. Together they perform multiple task easily.

Camera and Memory

For the camera lovers, it brings an auto-focus 13 MP rear camera with digital zoom, LED flash, multi shot, HDR features. The highest resolution you can set for the pictures is 4128x3096 pixels. For the selfies and video chat, it packs a wonderful 5MP camera on front panel that clicks at 2592x1944 pixels resolution. For the storage purpose, it has got an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It offers 3G network, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and GPS as its connectivity features. So, you can enjoy chat and surf internet very comfortably on the big screen of the phone. For backup, it relies on Li-ion 2200mAh battery.
