NTT Docomo whose name implies 'mobility anywhere' is the Japan's largest mobile service provider and is listed among the New York and Tokyo Stock Exchanges. It is headquartered in Tokyo and serves more than 60 million customers with the 3G network. The N905i was one such phone which has been discontinued now.
Although it was a basic feature phone, its clam-shell design gave it an attractive look. The dimension figures included a height of 109 mm, a width of 49 mm and a thickness of 19.6 mm along with a weight of 133 grams. The front of phone was featured with a 3 inch VGA LTPS-TFT display which provides a resolution of 480x854 pixels.
The handset was powered by the M2 processor and Linux plus MOAP platform. The NT Docomo N905i had the ability to store 1000 entries in its phonebook memory. There was an option to expand the memory also via micro SD card.
It was a single SIM phone that operated on 2G (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (WCDMA 800 MHz) network frequencies. On the messaging part, it had SMS, MMS and email facilities along with the T9 dictionary support. It also had the multi language support, so that the user could change the language of the phone.
The N905i had a 5 MP rear shooter which was featured with a digital zoom and used to provide a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. The presence of LED Flash further ensured good pictures even in dim light conditions.
On the entertainment part, the handset was featured with a music player, video player and recorder. The user could also tune to FM radio or play embedded games. The presence of Yamaha sound engine ensured high quality clear sound.
The connectivity attributes of device include the GPRS, Bluetooth and USB support which further enabled the PC synchronization. The phone was equipped with a standard Li-ion battery that offered a maximum standby time up to 290 hours and maximum talk-time up to 3 hours.
The phone was available in Black, White, Pink and Red shades.
