Compared to its predecessors Lumia 925 is sleeker, lighter, and very comfortable to hold in hand. The aluminium body with the AMOLED screen has enabled Nokia to cut down the weight of the phone to only 139grams, which is very lightweight for smartphones. One major drawback of the phone is its battery life. It will barely last for a day with moderate use. However if you leave the phone on standby mode then the battery will last you for days easily. Nokia has put in some battery management software in the phone to help you extend the battery life.
The phone runs on Windows 8 OS, which is the latest from Microsoft. The phone has a 4.5inch Super AMOLED screen which gives a crisp, clear and brighter display than any other scree we have seen out there. The screen resolution is 768x1280. The phone has a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory space. The UI of the phone is very easy to use and understand and most of the times it is like using a touch PC. The on screen keyboard is simple and easy to use.
The phone supports 2G, 3G and 4G operation. The call quality is excellent. The noise cancellation works very well on the phone. The phonebook is the People’s app. The phone is single SIM and supports Micro SIM. The People’s app is easy to handle and effortlessly engages the social media contacts all at one place.
Message, Email, Chat, MMS are the features that are available on the phone.
The photo viewer of the phone comes with various features such as crop, rotate, and image editing. The video player supports AVC, AVI, 3GP, MOV, MPEG-4, H.264, H.263, WMV, MP4, 3G2, M4V, Full HD. You will enjoy watching HD videos on the player comfortably. Videos can be stored in albums, Xbox etc. Videos play without jerks.
As we mentioned above the phone has excellent noise cancellation speakers and earphones. The music quality is excellent and the FM radio comes with recording. It is easy to scan for channels and store your favourite ones. The music sorting is easy and album information can be customized easily.
Nokia has kept the rear camera to a mere 8.7MP. The camera is Pureview made with Carl Zeiss optics. The camera has dual LED flash. The pictures that turn out from the camera are very good. The features include Auto Focus, Two-stage Capture Key, Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens, Flash Modes, Touch Focus, Exposure Compensation, Auto and Manual Exposure, Auto and Manual White Balance, Face Recognition, Full Screen Viewfinder, Geo-tagging, Optical Image Stabilization, and Image Editor. The front camera is 1.2MP.
Videos can be recorded on the phone @30 fps with a resolution of 1920x1080. The recorder supports full HD recording. The videos that we recorded were stable and glitch free.
Connectivity options on the phone include USB, 3FG, 4G, Bluetooth, NFC, Tethering, and DLNA. Connectivity is easy and Bluetooth pairing works with all devices.

The phone supports A-GPS, and GLONASS, with HERE Maps. Maps for India still need a lot of work on them but in all major cities.
The Pureview camera, easy sharing with PC and Mac companion to help you connect with your Mac devices are the distinctive features of the phone.
The price of the phone is INR 33999 (approx., may vary). The phone is very comfortably priced in the smartphone market.
