Nokia Lumia 630 got announced in April, 2014 in India. It is among the Nokia Lumia Series that has been featured with the Windows Operating System. It comes with the Dual SIM facility. Lumia 630 claims to offer the complete WP8 experience in a mere price range of Rs 11,000 - 20,000 approx.
The Lumia series of smartphones has always been a colorful range and 630 follows this trend. The front is dominated by a touchscreen display beneath which are three buttons which are there in most WP8 phones. The phone comes wrapped in a decent polycarbonate body. It has got a 4.5 inches, Clear Black IPS capacitive multi-point touchscreen that provide a resolution of 854x480 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.
It has been powered by Quad Core 1.2 GHz ( Snapdragon 400 ) processor and 512 MB RAM. Presence of Adreno 305 GPU ensures good graphics. On-board storage stands at 8 GB which can further be expanded up to 128 GB. The phone operates on Windows Phone v8 Operating System.
Nokia Lumia 630 supports 2G and 3G networks. The phone call hearing, speaker and touch quality always remains good. It features voice dialing, in-built social networking sites, contact history, social media integrations and unlimited phone book capacity. Since it is a Nokia product so you can easily rely upon it.
For messaging, it supports SMS, MMS, Email and IM. It also has the T9 dictionary that helps in typing.
Nokia Lumia 630 supports a 5 MP rear camera with a picture resolution of 2592 ? 1944 pixels. Rear camera has features like auto focus, Geo tagging, LED Flash, video recording, zoom etc.
On the connectivity front, it supports - GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Mobile Hotspot, 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE and USB 2.0. The phone has been equipped with a battery of 1830 mAh, which ensures longer uninterrupted usage of phone.
Other basic features that have been included are games, MP3, WAV, FM, calender, organizer, device lock, clock, video player, image viewer, music player and video recorder.
Nokia Lumia 630 avails all the features that a Windows Phone is expected to have. The Windows Phone Store has the full world of apps that will keep you indulged in the phone. Some of them are 'Word Flow'- allows to type instantly, 'Action Center'- gives you all the updates and setting on just one swipe. 'One drive' cloud avails 7 GB of storage capacity to store the data which is more than enough for a starter. It also has in-built 'Microsoft Office'- to manage data, Nokia 'MixRadio'- to give unlimited free music on demand. With the 'HereMap' app, one can never be lost anywhere as it gives you navigation details, bus timings, walking distance etc information being online as well as on offline mode.
What makes the Lumia 630 special is the fact that it is the Nokia's first dual SIM smart phone supporting Windows v8.1. Its rivals in the market are HTC and Samsung.
