Nokia Lumia 525 is the latest micro SIM smartphone by Nokia which was announced in November, 2013 and released in January 2014. It comes in a pack with a high efficiency charger AC-20, data cable CA-189CD, a Nokia stereo headset WH-108 and a quick guide.
Lumia 525 has a height of 119.9mm, a width of 64mm and a thickness of 9.9mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 124gms. Nokia Lumia 525 has got a 4.0-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, IPS LCD touchscreen with a super sensitive touch, a WVGA resolution of 480x800 pixels, 24-bit/16M TrueColor display, 15:9 aspect ratio, 235ppi pixel density, brightness control and scratch resistant glass with some great sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, compass, ambient light and orientation.
It is a Microsoft Windows Phone 8 (with Lumia Black) OS based smartphone with a dual-core 1.0GHz processor, a Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon S4 chipset, an Adreno 305 GPU along with a RAM of 1GB.
Nokia Lumia 525 has got a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1936 pixels, 4xdigital zoom, auto-focus with two-stage capture key, 1/4-inch sensor size, touch focus, auto and manual white balance, geo-tagging and add-ons like Nokia smart camera, cinemagraph lens, Panorama lens and Bing vision along with apps like Photo Beamer and can play as well as record videos of 720p@30fps with 4xvideo zoom and continuous auto-focus. It has an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD memory card and a 7GB free SkyDrive cloud storage capacity.
It has got features like a HTML5 or Internet Explorer 10 browser, internet and FM radio along with a Nokia MixRadio, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, a document viewer, a photo/video editor, voice memo/dials/commands, BT neckloop compatible, TTY support, a loudspeaker, cell ID, turn-by-turn navigation, tethering, computer and OTA sync, HERE drive, HERE maps, HERE transit, 3.5mm audio connector, exchange active sync, remote security police enforcement, lost device tracking, browser integrated anti-phishing, user data encryption, WP location sharing, Foursquare, cellular and Wi-Fi network positioning, cloud music playback, OneNote, Nokia screen reader, font magnification and many more.
For connectivity, it has USB port, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and it runs on 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/190 0 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100 MHz) network frequencies. It has a Li-Ion 1430mAh BL-5J battery with a maximum stand by time of up to 336 hours, a 2G and 3G talk time of up to 17 hours and up to 10.4 hours respectively, a music playback time of up to 48 hours, a video playback time of up to 5.9 hours, a cellular network browsing time of up to 5.9 hours and a Wi-Fi network browsing time of up to 7.5 hours.
It comes in four beautiful shades which includes Black, Yellow, Orange and White at a price of SGD 249 (in Singapore).
