Nokia's 2700 Classic is a candy bar style device with an alphanumeric keypad. There is a square directional pad in the middle, as well as a dedicated call and end button. Its slim, plastic design has a solid build quality.
Nokia uses its Series 40 user interface on the 2700 which is both practical and easy to use. The device should easily fit in your pocket and one-handed operation should not be a problem.
You can store up to 1000 entries in the phonebook and include a picture for each of your contacts. The 2700 will store 60 of your dialled, received, and missed calls.
SMS, EMS, and MMS support will allow you to send/receive every phone communication possible. You can also set up your emails.
The gallery will store your pictures or you can opt to add up to a 2 GB microSD to add additional memory space. There is only about 32 MB of available internal memory. If you would like to playback a video, you need to make sure that the file is saved in either MPEG-4 or H.263 format.
The music player also has equalizer presets that you can use for a better audio experience. Audio playback is available in WAV, MP4, AAC, AMR, MP3, M4A, AAC+, AMR=WB, HE AAC V2, mobile XMF, true tones, and SP MIDI formats. You can also access local music stations using the FM stereo. There is also a recorder feature that allows you to record an FM station's content. The audio quality is fairly good through the speakers.
A 2MP camera is capable of an output of 1600x1200 pixel resolution. You can zoom up to four times and there is also a self-timer feature. Additionally, you can set up a sequence mode or landscape orientation for shots. There are also some image capturing modes including light sensitivity, color ton, and white balance. Sadly, the 2700 Classic lacks a flash and autofocus.
The video camera will record 176x144 resolution at 15 frames per second.
A 2G GSM network will connect the 2700 to 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz bands. MicroUSB and Bluetooth are also supported.
Some basic organization tools come standard on the Nokia 2700 Classic including an organizer, voice memo, calendar, converter, notes, reminders, and alarm clock.
The Opera Mini browser gets you hopping on the web with a sleep interface.
There is a lack of a native GPS feature Nokia 2700 Classic.
Sudoku, Snake 3, and Rally Star are all included games on the device.
You can find the 2700 for a price of around Rs. 3474 (approx., may vary).
The call quality, reception, and battery life all perform solidly on the 2700. Its affordable price tag makes it easy on the wallet. This is a great device for users who want a reliable phone.
