In April 2014, Nokia announced its most affordable phones supporting internet. Two of them are Nokia 225 and Nokia 225 with Dual SIM. Both phones offer same functionality with just Dual SIM difference.
Nokia 225 has 124mm of height, 55.5mm of width and 10.4mm of thickness as its dimensions and a weight of 99.8 grams. The phone is easy to carry. Its front features a TFT display of 2.8 inches, that provide a resolution of 320x240 pixels. Along with this, it has a dust proof and splash proof keymat. It packs a Li-Ion battery of 1,200mAh that provides uninterrupted talktime of 21hours and Standby time of up to 864hours.
Nokia 225 operates on Series 30+ Operating System. It has Dual band 900/1800 MHz processor. Along with that it supports a microSD slot up to 32GB which gives enough space for downloading and storing.
The device avails a 2MP rear camera with Zoom facility, that provide a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels . You can also record videos at 15fps.
Although it does not have all the features of a smartphone, yet it supports internet for some basic apps like Nokia Xpress Browser ( enabling compression of sites ), Bing, Twitter and Facebook. Also it supports connectivity with Bluetooth with SLAM, 2G, GPRS ( up to 85.6 kbps ), EDGE ( up to 236.8 kbps ) and USB.
Nokia 225 comes in vibrant colors like Green, Yellow, White, Black and Red giving the feel of Nokia Lumia. The phone is available at a price of Rs 3,599 approximately.
It has other features like games, MP3, FM radio with RDS, 3 in 1 audio solution, device lock etc.
Nokia handset's are always reliable and so is Nokia 225. It has good features at a very decent price. So it is truly a value for money product. Nokia has some other handsets also falling in the near about range of touch or bar type. Its other competitors in the market are Micromax and Samsung that provide more or less features in this range.
