Motorola Smartphone Flies High on Style Quotient

To mark its position in emerging market of Android smartphones, Motorola revealed its Android smartphone 'Moto G' in November, 2013. It received good response in the market first but the lack of 4G LTE support become big hindrance in its selling. Now, the company has come out with updated version of Moto G with 4G LTE support in May 2014. It is dubbed as 'Moto G 4G LTE'. It comes in a pack with charger, user manual, earphones, battery, USB cable and warranty card.

Design and Display

Moto G 4G LTE inherits its specification from Moto G except the 4G LTE availability. It comes with stunning 4.5-inch HD edge-to-edge display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution. It offers a pixel density of 326ppi and a 16M color depth. In the terms of safety, the screen comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone has a length of 129.9mm, width of 65.9mm and a thickness of 11.6mm along with a weight of 143 grams as its dimensions.

Processor and Storage

Moto G 4G is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset and a Adreno 305 GPU. It ensures you unrivalled power and excellent performance. The operating system version used in this phone is the Android v4.4.2 KitKat. For the storage purpose, this phone comes in two internal memory versions- 8GB and 16GB. It also allow you an expandable memory of up to 32GB.

Camera 

Moto G 4G brings an auto-focus rear camera of 5MP with LED flash which provides a picture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. It also features geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama and touch focus. You can play as well as record videos of 720p at 30fps. It also comes equipped with 1.3MP camera at front for the front shots.

Music and Sound

It facilitates you SOL Republic JAX headphones for listening pleasure through FM radio. It also has a 3.5mm Audio jack and USB to connect with other devices. It has also got a JBL micro wireless speaker to give you awesome audio from your phone. The audio format supported by this amazing phone are MP3, AAC, WAV, Flac player.

Telephony and Messaging

Moto G 4 G works on 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900), 3G (HSDPA 850 and 4G (LTE) network frequencies. You can make voice calls to your loved ones and can save unlimited number of contacts. It also allows you to send SMS, MMS, Push Email, IM and Email. The applications you can use on this phone are Google Talk, YouTube, Gmail and Maps. Other features of the phone includes voice memo/dial, document viewer, organizer, SNS integration, predictive text input, photo viewer/editor and active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.

Connectivity and Battery

For user connectivity, Moto G supports GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, v4.0 with A2DP Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0. It comes loaded with rechargeable Lithium-ion 2070mAh battery which survives for long hours.

Shades and Price

Moto G 4G LTE comes in a two color options including Black and White along with one Moto G Ferrari Edition. Moto G Ferrari Edition comes with special badges on front and back panel. The 8GB version of Moto G 4G is available at Rs. 12,499 and 16GB at Rs. 13,999 approximately.

Verdict

Moto G 4G has a stunning display, amazing camera features, latest Android OS and a dual core processor all at an affordable price. Its stylish outlook and fast functioning is the best feature.
