Motorola Moto G is the newest Android smartphone by Motorola Mobility LLC owned by Google Inc. and was unveiled on November, 2013 at a press conference in Brazil. It was released in Brazil and in some parts of Europe on the very same day and is expected to be available by the end of December in Latin America, Europe and Canada and in US, India and some other Southeast countries by February 2014. It comes in a pack with a Li-Ion 2070mAh battery having a mixed usage of up to 24 hours, a USB Cable and a quick start guide. It has a height of 129.9mm, a width of 65.9mm and a thickness of 11.6mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 143gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz or CDMA 800/1900 MHz) and 3G(UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 MHz or CDMA 1xEV-DO) networks. It has been priced at $179 for 8GB model and $199 for 16GB model in US market and is expected to be priced around INR 12,000-20,000 in Indian market. It will be available as a Dual-SIM smartphone in India in a Black front panel with seven beautiful color options for back panel.
Motorola Moto G has a 4.5-inch, Capacitive & multi-touch, LCD touchscreen with a HD resolution of 720x1280 pixels, 329ppi pixel density, 16 Million colors display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has got a 1GB of RAM along with an internal memory of 8GB or 16GB which depends on the model you choose. It is an Android v4.3, Jelly Bean OS based smartphone with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, an Adreno 305 GPU and a fair gathering of sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, compass, ambient light and gravity.
Its other features consists of a HTML5 browser, stereo FM Radio with RDS, a loudspeaker, a 3.5mm jack, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, Java via MIDP emulator, Turn-by-turn navigation, free 50GB storage on Google drive for two years, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, an organizer, a document viewer, a photo viewer/editor, voice memo/dials, tethering, Computer sync and OTA sync, predictive text input, Google maps and many more incredible ones.
Motorola Moto G has a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, 4xDigital zoom, auto-focus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, auto HDR, panorama mode, face detection and can play as well as record videos of 720p@30fps. Also, it has got a 1.3MP front camera for video recording and playing and video calling. For messaging, it includes SMS, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM and integrated Social Networking Sites. For connectivity, it has a GPRS and EDGE, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot, a v4.0 Bluetooth with A2DP and a v2.0 microUSB port along with 3G speeds of HSPA+ 21.1Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps. According to the sources, Verizon mobile carrier will provide service in US.
