Microsoft expand its affordable range of Lumia smartphones with the introduction of Microsoft Lumia 640 XL 4G. It is a Windows 8.1 powered handset which supports 2G and 3G networks. It is a dual SIM smartphone which allows you to assign unique profiles to SIM cards to conduct daily communication. Let's move to the features and specifications of this smartphone discussed below:
The smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch IPS LCD (1280x720 pixels) multi-touch capacitive display offering a pixel density of 259 ppi. It has a color depth of 16 million. It is a bar shaped device which measures 157.9x81.5x9 mm and weighs 171 grams. It packs proximity sensor, compass sensor and accelerometer sensor.
The dual SIM handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-core Cortex-A7 processor joined with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset and Adreno 305 GPU. It is coupled with 1 GB RAM and works on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim operating system.
It supports a 13 MP rear camera which provides a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels pixels with 1/3" sensor size, Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash, auto-focus and digital zoom features. The user can record 1080p videos at 30fps. On the other hand for selfies and video calls, Microsoft has deployed 5 MP camera which you can use for selfies and video calls. It comes loaded with 8 GB of internal memory expandable further through microSD card (upto 128 GB). Much like other Lumia phones, this smartphone also comes with 30 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
For the purpose of internet and connectivity, it has certain attributes like GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth, microUSB v2.0, GPRS, EDGE, NFC, Wi-Fi and handsfree. It's 3G speed is 42.2/5.76 Mbps whereas 4G works on Cat4 150/50 Mbps speed. The Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery which promises a talktime of up to 30 hours and standby time of up to 888 hours over 2G. On the other hand, over 3G it is rated to deliver a talktime of up to 24 hours and same standby time offered by 2G.
