Another phone by Microsoft, the Kin Two is a rectangular designed slider phone with a spacious QWERTY keypad. It’s a capacitive touch screen phone with multi-touch input method and a proximity sensor. The phone’s internal memory is around 8GB and has 256MB RAM. It runs on all forms of internet connectivity; GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G. Microsoft seemed to have tried making this phone a mini computer. The OS this time was pretty much better than the Kin ONE and ONEm, however, due to some uncertain reasons, Microsoft pulled back all the sales of the phone. It is hardly available in the US market.
Though Microsoft’s phone could be a great powerhouse, they could be a turn off for some users because of being inflexible in terms of installing third party apps. It is rumored that Microsoft cancelled this version of the phone to focus on integrating Windows 7 on Smartphone platforms. Microsoft Kin Two would be a great competitor to Android!
