Micromax X560 is a phone that will blow you away with its cool 3D interface. The phone is very budget friendly and therefore very popular with the young crowd.
The phone has a curved smooth design, which is very attractive. The grip is comfortable to hold and the build material of the phone is quite strong. The phone has a 3.1-inch screen and is a full touchscreen mobile. The call and end buttons are placed at the bottom of the screen. The talk time of the phone is about 8 hours, which is very good. The phone weighs a mere 106 grams. The phone has the camera in the back and there is no front camera. The phone is available in black cover, which gives it a very sleek look.
The phone has a 3D cube user interface, which makes its display very pleasurable to watch. Excellent motion sensor of the phone makes it a treat to play fast-paced games on the phone. The phone is very easy to use and everything is available on the menu screen. Customizable widgets make it easier to have all your favourite things in one place. We found the phone to be very comfortable and easy to use. The phone’s internal memory can be extended up to 8GB. The onscreen keyboard is fairly simple and easy to use. The keys are well placed and switching between two types of keyboards is simple.
The phone has Dual SIM GSM functions. The American version of the phone has 3G operations to. The call quality is very good and the voice clarity is superb even in slightly noisy areas. The Phonebook entry capacity is 1000 entries and photo call feature is available on the phone. You can add multiple numbers to a contact name.
The phone has SMS, MMS and Email facilities.
The phone’s gallery has the space to store your favourite photos, music, and videos. The photo viewer is simple and the video player supports MP4 and 3GP formats. The video player loads videos quickly and the play is very smooth. The 3D interface gives a very sharp picture viewing experience.
Multiple music format player and good quality FM radio enable the phone to give you an excellent music experience. The voice level with both earphones and loudspeaker is good and pleasant.
The phone has a 2MP camera with digital zoom. The photo resolution is 1600x1200px. The photos are not sharp or very clear. If you use the zoom then the quality deteriorates further. The phone is definitely not a camera phone.
Video recording feature is available on the phone but with the low-resolution camera, the quality is just passable for mobile phones.
The phone has most of the modern connectivity options such as GPRS, Wi-Fi, USB, and Edge. Connectivity through all channels is at average speed but a decent browsing experience makes it all worthwhile.
Alarm, World Clock, Calculator and Calendar are some of the utility tools available on the phone. When it comes to accessing various preloaded motion sensor games, the phone loads them in in about 10 seconds. There is no lag in playing the games.
Opera mini browser is present on the phone. On zoom, the browsing experience is not so pleasurable otherwise; the browser is comfortable enough for basic net browsing. Snaptu and Nimbuzz SNS and IM services help you stay connected with friends.
Most distinctive feature of the phone is its 3D cube UI that gives an excellent gaming experience.
The phone is priced at around INR 3200 (approx., may vary) in the Indian market. The price of the phone is very budget friendly.
The phone has a great gaming performance; unfortunately, the poor camera and lack of utility tools earn this phone only 3.5 stars out of 5.
