Micromax X44 Bling Design and Build Quality

In the world of full touchscreen phones Micromax X44 Bling has a bar shaped form factor and comes with a 2-inch TFT screen and an alphanumeric keyboard. It gets its name as bling because of the ring of shining Swarovski diamonds around the navigation key. The pearly white colour of the phone compliments the crystals. The weight of the phone is 82 grams and the thickness is only 12 mm. The phone is comfortable hold. The battery life of the phone will last you for about 8 hours comfortably.

User Interface and Comfort to Use Micromax X44 Bling

The phone has a 2.0-inch TFT with a resolution of 220x176 pixels. The icons on the screen are in a shiny soft peach colour, which is very pleasing to the eye. The keys on the alphanumeric keyboard are not very comfortably placed but as you use it, you will get used to it. The phone’s memory can be expanded to 8 GB.

Telephony and Phonebook

The phone supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) operations. The call quality is decent but only in a room. Noise cancellation is not effective and we would advise you to not to use this phone outdoors. Phonebook is very basic and limited memory means you can only store 1000 phonebook entries.

Messaging and Emails

MMS and SMS features are available on the phone. The capacity is limited to 1000 only.

Gallery, Photo Viewer and Video Player

The gallery of the phone has a photo viewer, video player, games, and organizer. Photo viewer is simple. Organizer contains only calculator, alarm, clock, and convertor. The screen is not suitable for games. The video player plays only MP4 formats which limits the capability of the phone quite a bit.

Micromax X44 Bling Music Player and FM Radio

The MP3 player on the phone is very basic and the sound quality is not good. The FM radio is supposed to be stereo but we did not feel anything in sound that feels like stereo sound.

Micromax X44 Bling Camera and Image Quality

The phone has a 2 MP basic camera at the rear. There is no flash, no Auto focus or any other feature available with the camera. Whether in daylight or indoors the camera images are lower than average and only good to be viewed on the phone screen.

Micromax X44 Bling Connectivity Options

on the phone makes it easy to transfer files from PC or other devices. However, the transfer speed is slow and you will have to wait a bit for it to connect.

Web Browser and Applications

For internet there is the basic WAP browser but we would not recommend using it. The applications include M! Zone and M! Store to download applications.

Value for Money

The price of the phone is INR 2900 (approx., may vary) approximately in the Indian Market. Seeing the features and performance of the phone the price is high but it does have the ‘bling’ factor to add to the price.

Aside from the Swarovski elements there are not standout features of the phone. We would rate the phone a 3.5 stars out of 5.
