Micromax is a mobile manufacturing company which designs and sell phones keeping in mind the needs of a consumer. The company has announced Micromax X089 in April, 2014. The phone comes with a height of 113mm, width of 46.3mm and a thickness of 14.3mm. It has a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support with dual standby. The phone is designed using the bar format.

Micromax X089 has a screen size of 1.8-inch which gives a resolution of 220x176 pixels. The QQVGA display shows 65K colors. It runs on Proprietary operating system. The phone has a primary camera of 0.8MP which provides a photo resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. The camera is also featured with a digital zoom. Micromax X089 has a microSD card support of up to 8GB. It has got a numeric keypad and capacity for 500 contacts. The device supports a 2G (GSM 900/ 1800MHz) network.

Micromax X089 has a FM radio and music player for the listening pleasure. The phone is featured with a video player and video recording too. There are number of Polyphonic ring-tones available in the phone. It comes loaded with some of the games for entertainment. The connectivity attributes of the device includes USB, GPRS, Bluetooth and EDGE. It is featured with a Organizer, Calender, Clock and Alarm Clock.

The device packs a Li-Ion battery of 900mAh which delivers a talk-time of 3 hours and a standby duration up to 165 hours. Micromax X089 is available in Black color scheme only. The box will include a Handset, Charger, Battery, USB Cable, Earphone, User Manual and Warranty Card. The phone has certain drawbacks like it doesn't have a flash, front camera and GPS. Moreover, the poor screen resolution and poor video recording makes it lower in its class. The only thing which makes it an option is FM radio.
