Micromax X071 is a small and lightweight basic handset announced in December, 2014. It arrives in Black shade and comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,185. It is a dual SIM device that fits easily in your palm and pocket. It is a bar shaped handset which also has dual standby mode. The box contents include USB cable, charger, battery, handsfree, user manual and warranty card. The user can store 500 contacts in its phonebook and 100 SMS in its memory. For messaging it only supports SMS service

It carries a 1.7 inch TFT display which offers visuals with a resolution of 128x160 pixels leading to a pixel density of 116ppi. It has a color support of 65K. Talking about its measurements, it has got a height of 109.3mm, a width of 46.1mm, a thickness of 14.6mm and weighing 71 grams. For photography, it is packed with a 0.08 MP primary shooter which is capable to click basic snapshots and videos. The device has a memory card slot which offers upto 8 GB of space that can be used for storing files, documents, songs and videos.

Fulled by a Li-Ion 1000 mAh battery, it is capable of rendering upto 4 hours of talktime and upto 180 hours of standby time in 2G network. The basic handset can be connected with other devices via Bluetooth, USB and GPRS. It has some entertaining features which includes radio, music player, video player, video recording, voice recording and games. Other features offered by the device include calendar, clock, in- built torch and organizer. The audio formats supported by the device include MP3, WAV, MIDI, AMR, AAC and video formats comprise MP4, 3GP.
