Overview
Solid Mid-Range Phablet With Two Storage Variants
By AmritMeizu M2 Note is a solid mid-range 4G phablet announced in June, 2015. It is the successor to the 'Meizu M1 Note' which is now available in India for Rs. 9999 (exclusively on Amazon). The main highlight of this smartphone is the physical button on the front side similar to the ones seen on Samsung Galaxy handsets. It is a dual SIM smartphone which packs few upgraded specifications when compared to its predecessor.
Display and Dimensions
It features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080) pixels Sharp IGZO display with 403 ppi pixel density and 16 million color depth. It is a multi-touch device whose viewing angles are quite impressive and you can text, play games and browse easily on this large screen. This bar shaped device measures 150.9x75.2x8.7 mm and weighs 149 grams. It comes packed with accelerometer sensor, compass sensor, proximity sensor and gyro sensor.
Processor and Operating System
Much like the M1 Note, the Meizu M2 note is backed by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The M2 note has an upgraded chipset MediaTek MT6753 processor instead of the Mediatek MT6752 seen on the M1 note. It is coupled with 2 GB RAM which is amazing for the fast processing of the device. It works on Android 5.0 OS which is the newest version available. It is currently the most famous platform in the market.
Camera and Storage
It comes equipped with a 13 MP rear camera, which produces high quality pictures. Its 5MP front camera makes it a good choice for selfies and video calls. The camera resolution offered by the primary camera is 4128x3096 pixels whereas secondary camera delivers a 2592x1944 pixels. The rear camera is able to record a 2160p, 1080p videos at 30fps. The base model of the smartphone boasts 16 GB of internal memory, which is a modest amount for storing an OS along with pictures, music and videos. Fortunately, you can expand its storage by as much as 128 GB with a memory card slot.
Connectivity and Battery
It comes loaded with connectivity attributes such as dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with GLONASS, GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi. It has a non-removable Li-Po 3100 mAh battery which is remarkable for long talks.
