The Maximus MAX 901 was a smartphone which was announced in November, 2012. It is not available in the market now. The details of this phone are given below.

Design and Display

The MAX 901 was based on a bar format. The device was featured by a TFT capacitive touchscreen of 3.2-inches with a resolution of 320x240 pixels. There were only three soft keys present below the screen for home, back and options. The touch of phone was well responsive and smooth.

Software and Memory

The Maximus MAX 901 was operated on Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system. There was a memory card slot available for the phone to increase the external storage up to 4GB.

Telephony and Messaging

This device worked on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz frequencies. The Maximus MAX 901 had the capacity to store a list of 100 contacts, 100 SMS and 100 MMS on to the device. There was a messaging and email facility available for the device which included SMS, MMS, Email and IM.

Camera

The phone had a main camera of 2 MP with a 1600x1200 pixel resolution. Other camera features were digital zoom, smile detection, continuous shooting and multi shot. There was no front camera in the phone.

Multimedia and Apps

There was a music player and FM radio for the listening pleasure. It was also featured with a video player and recorder which offered a good quality sound and entertainment to the users. The phone has been pre-loaded with apps like Facebook and Twitter. The Opera Mobile 12 browser was there to handle the apps.

Connectivity and Battery 

The connectivity attributes of the MAX 901 were GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB port. It also had support for GPS to facilitate navigation. The device was equipped with a standard Li-Ion battery of 1200 mAh.
