First Android Wearable Smartwatch With Lollipop OS

LG has launched traditional looking LG Watch Urbane in 2015 priced at Rs. 24999. Though, it is better in features as compared to first two smartwatches launched by LG. The Urbane has advantage of being the first android wearable with the latest OS that is Lollipop 5.1.1 software. LG has launched two variants of LG Watch Urbane 3G and 4G. Lets check out its features.

LG Watch Urbane has a 1.3-inch Full Circle P-OLED display with resolution of 320 x 320 pixels at 245ppi. It has distinct look and features. This watch is bit smaller than the MOTO 360, which features 1.56-inch display screen. The Moto 360 comes under the list of its rivals. Other name under this list is of Apple Watch. It is designed in stainless steel with the gold and silver finish. A small button is installed at the side of this device which acts as an Android wear home button. This will help you to turn on display or activate Google Now voice commands and to reach apps and control their settings. The Urbane watch has 11 mm in thickness, about the same as the Apple watch. But, it is bit larger and wider than the Apple Watch.

It has dimensions of 45.5 x 52.2 x 10.9 mm and only 66.5 gm in weight. It is IP67 dust and water resistant certified watch which means you can wash your hand with it and even submerge it in water for up to 30 minutes. There are multiple sensors in this watch to make your life more comfortable such as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, heart rate, barometer. Powered by Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor and chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 make it a perfect little device for multitasking. 512 MB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt memory is there to store data. It does not support any memory card slot. It has stainless steel body which gives you chance to change out 22 mm strap to match your mood.

It is powered by Non-removable Li-Ion 410 mAh battery. The watch is compatible with Google's standard apps like Agenda, Gmail, Play Music, Stopwatch Timer and Flashlight along with Amazon, Find My Phone, LG Pulse and checking your recent calls. A built-in heart rate sensor is installed on the back side to keep a track on your heart rate. It is available in Gold and Silver color options available at 24999. Undoubtedly, LG is a top runner in best designing and nice looking wrist watches, but Android wear platform still feels unclear. On the other hand, it is bit costlier than its predecessors. If you are looking for a smartwatch that looks classy, stylish and traditional and price is not an issue than definitely go for it.
