LG might have realized that L series was short of innovative features, thus introducing the Optimus F7. The phone is part of the LG’s high-end Smartphone family, comes loaded with Android’s latest version and is indeed a perfect match users looking for a premium smartphone. The smartphone joins the league of smartphones running on Android 4.1.2.
The F7 comes with a distinctive 4.7-inch HD IPS display. The back rocks a hexagonal pattern that creates variable tones and shades. The screen resolution stands at 1280 x 720 pixels. Its 9.6 mm thickness makes it quite admirably easy to hold. The Smartphone runs on a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and this gives it an upper hand over the F5. It has an internal memory of 8GB that can go up to 32 GB with the use of a micro SD card. The handset packs a 2540 mAh battery. The 2GB RAM allows for swift access to a wide range of apps. Its plastic construction deprives it of an elegant feel though.
The F7 features a three-button set up, with a big easy-to-click home key.
LG Optimus F7 allows for voice commands, voice dialing, and voice recording. Its phonebook can accommodate unlimited entries, multiple numbers per contact and caller groups.
The handset supports both SMS and MMS and features a threaded view as well as predictive text input. Emailing functionality includes SMTP, POP3. IMAP and Microsoft exchange.
The gallery incorporates, photos, video and voice recordings, with a feature for photo editing. The video player takes video watching a notch higher, thanks to the High pixel density screen.
The music player allows you to play different kinds of music files such as MP3, WAV, eAAC and WMA. Supported video files include MP4, DivX, WMV, H.263 and H.264. The handset comes with a TBD radio that delivers crisp sound.
LG Optimums F7 has an 8MP camera with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and auto focus capability. It also has a 1.3 MP front camera ideal for video calls.
The video camera has a 1080p resolution capability, which is good enough for snap videos.
Connectivity options comprise GPRS, EDGE, HSPDA,WLAN, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, as well as Wi-Fi 802, Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA.
They include an alarm, a calculator, as well as a calendar.
The smartphone utilizes a HTML browser.
The smartphone has both Google Maps and GPS support.
Both the light and proximity sensors undoubtedly give this smartphone an upper hand.
The LG Optimums F7 is a device that seems to be a good buy, and perhaps more so for Smartphone enthusiasts who want to experience the 4G arena without having to spend megabucks. On the flipside, the handset does not really offer any advanced features.
