The LG Cookie LG510 is a CDMA device with a resistive TFT touchscreen. It has got a candy bar style shape and weighs only 90 grams. The plastic built has a mirror like shiny edge. The front of the device has three buttons: call, back, and end call. On the back of the device is a plastic backing with a circle print on it.
A simple LG user interface is easy for anyone to pick up and use. The home screen that is found across the bottom has four options: call, contacts, messages, and menu. You can set up to nine of your contacts on the speed dial. There are widgets that you can also customize on the home screen. Options such as Facebook, twitter, YouTube, calculator, and calendar are available.
You can store up to 1000 contacts and with up 15 fields of information that can be stored.
Text messages can be sent and received on the LG510.
A basic gallery will allow you to view, store, and delete your pictures.
You can keep up to 500 songs on the device. The sound quality is average. There is also an FM radio if you prefer to listen to local stations. The LG510 also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack which is a huge disappointment.
A 2MP camera has no flash feature. Low light shots will turn out very poor because of this. There are very few camera options on the LG510.
Videos will turn out poor in low light areas as well. These videos will be exported to MP4 format after you are done recording.
This is a single band device that supports only EVDO Rev. A 3G networks.
Some basic tools include an alarm, calculator, voice recorder, unit converter, organizer, stopwatch, and world time.
Good about the LG510 is its good battery life and the included stylus. The stylus is helpful due to the resistive touchscreen that poorly responds to inputs. The device itself is laggy, has a poor quality camera, and there is not a 3.5mm headphone jack. All in all, you are better off skipping the BL510, in favour of a device that offers more features.
